Mission: Impossible - Fallout is One of the Finest Action Movies to Date

I’ve made it very plain that the Bond franchise is one of my most favorite movie series in the universe. On the flip-side of Bond and across the pond, we’re left with Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt of the Mission: Impossible franchise. At 56 years old, Cruise maintains the series as a humongous passion project that he refuses to hold back on, which provides some consistently great action films . Fallout is no different.

Fallout mixes fantastic sequences with a well-rounded plot, great humor, and genuinely charming moments from the main actors. It’ll keep you glued to your seat for two hours and leave you begging for more. It’s genuinely amazing that after 20 years, this property, much like Tom Cruise’s body, hasn’t fallen to the wayside. It’s a fabulous thrill ride.

Plus, the E28 chase scene is quickly becoming a favorite of all car chases in retrospect.

Seriously, go see it. I gave it a 9.4/10 in my review, it sits at #2 of 2018 behind Isle of Dogs.

Hmm might have to give it a look. For the record though. The Bourne series crushes both of the franchise you mentioned.

Not in the slightest. It’s good for a quick thrill but has none of the flair or charm that the others have.

I put my differences with Cruise aside long ago. He might be weird but he can carry a movie well.

It was a good move. But never been a huge fan of the mission impossible movies. Id rather watch Bourne

I feel like Bourne lost its luster somewhere within the late 2000s. Plus films like Legacy and Jason Bourne really knocked the franchise down in quality.

Im only talking about the Matt Damon ones.

I really liked Jason Bourne. Id pick him to beat Ethan Hunt in a fight :)

Fallout was a good movie just the plot twisted too much for me and really Alec Baldwin? They couldnt get anyone else?

That’s interesting, I’ve always seen the Bourne films as the more cerebral of the spy franchises. Bourne Legacy, Bourne Identity, and Bourne Supremacy, have very interesting stories and characters that engage me more. I will say that I love the first  Mission Impossible  though.
